New kind of church mtg.

Last night our church met over delish food to discuss ways in which to help our church. The Board stated that they were reaching out for help with the many tasks they have been handling, due to lack of membership participation. I was touched by this request: how often do we CSers actually ask for help? Then, the Board turned it over to the members: what is something about our church that you're passionate about? Something you've always wanted to try but were reluctant to? Person after person mentioned ideas! A few ideas were having other instruments accompany or play the solo and Vacation Bible school for children. Again, I was impressed by hearing how we all have these great ideas simmering inside us. All it takes is for someone to ask, "Hey, what do YOU want to do?" to get us to voice our ideas and get them moving.
